man of steel: i read this junk the other day on the post website, and i can see the stretch marks around cooks mouth from here! i have to agree with others, either you are bruce "i dont know why that play didnt get 6 yards, its designed for 3" arians. or you just dont know much about football, either way, why dont you leave this site for the big boys! stick with something you know, like, i dont know, ping pong? |

so u r saying that missing the playoffs was the OC's fault. Take off yer black and gold galsses and look at the FACT that the O gave the Steelers the lead in the 4th Qtr and the D lost it, IN 6 FREAKIN GAMES!
Last year was our year, this one wasn't. And players letting down had something do with it, no?
sure players had alot to do with it, like i dont know arians letting veron haynes go (who was an aoutomatic 1st down on 3rd downs) or the whole 3rd and 1 empty set formations or the 4th and 1 mewelde moore sweep calls, or the "put a 4th string tight end in the backfield" when evreyone else in the nfl uses a fullback. you gotta admit the only well called offensive game in three years was this years game against san diego. its not his system, its his formations and play calling. and yeah we have no depth, an aging defense and an under acheiving o line, but lets not forget the special teams who gave up a touchdown every 5 quarters! im with you (sorta) the blame should be spread around, but the horrid play calling on offense stands out. |

You guys are all dopes!!! This website is ridiculous...Bruce Arians is a great offensive coach! Who do you think is going to do a better job? They won the SB last year and this year the offense was one of the most prolific in Steelers HISTORY!! They are 7th in the league...and he did it with an offensive line that was like swiss cheese...you have to be kidding me...one season of missing the playoffs??? What a joke. I say they better keep BA or you may not make it back to the SB for the rest of Ben's career. Don't you think the Defense was more to blame??? if they could cover any teams tight end or the 6 yard out, or intercept a pass, maybe we would be worrying about trying to get our playoff tickets rather than taking a man's job and career away!
dear "canes21" you better stick with college football, cause you obviously dont know much about the pros. theres nothing wrong with his system, its his play calling. hes a completely inept play caller |

i dont quite know how to respond, now im thinkin it might be time for tomlins departure. this isnt the "necessary changes" he spoke of yesterday or the "major changes" he spoke of a month ago. this isnt anywhere close to the "unleashing hell" i expected. now i know how it feels to be a browns fan.  |

Skip Holtz is the head coach at East Carolina University.
Skip is young, enthusiastic, and smart. He comes from a football family.
Why opt for somebody who has been fired from another job?
Go get this guy.
Snatch him out of the college ranks now!

Hallelujah!!!! I'm almost as happy as when the Steelers won the Superbowl.  However, with Anderson retiring, I think Arians is just demoted to QB coach. However, Arians is a good positions coach, just as long as he doesn't get a playbook. Now, who will be the next OC. This wouldn't be a problem if we picked up The Whis as our head coach instead of Tomlin. He needs to prove he can do more than just talk. Talking is the only thing that got him his job, because his interview impressed the Rooney's. how bout mike malarkey, who incidentaly wrote the playbook wisenhut was calling plays from, malarkeys also the originator of the modern day wildcat (slash stewart) he resurected the running game last time, resurected tommy maddox' career, drafted ward, plex etc, etc hes the real wiz, oh yeah best of all....hes uses a fullback! |

He's a Cleveland reject who lacks any sort of imagination. It great to see a great many NFL team line up with a FB leading the charge, but not Bruce. He pulls out a fourth string TE to do the job. That's really worked well in goalline situations. Isn't repeating the same thing over and over and expecting different results a definition of a moron?
on the contrary, he has great imagination, if he thinks his offensive system will work in the nfl? man, now thats imagination! |

if anyone has been around the steelers long enough to know how to run the offense, its this guy. he was the running back coach, well, forever. he is loved and respected by anyone connected to the team, franco, bettis, hodge, bam morris, barry foster, willie parker. and after 30 years with the steelers, no one loves the team more. he retired when tomlin past him up for the job and took arians.
