Indemnity calculation
I am a doctor and was working at a medical center in Kuwait since March 2001.

Secondly, your last “ remuneration” — according to the Labor Law must be used in the calculation of both your annual leave payment and your indemnity. This “remuneration” must include, in your case the basic salary,

Your leave pay will therefore be calculated as follows:
Total “remuneration” = KD 1,140 + KD 481 +KD 150 = KD 1,771
Total accumulated leave = 90.5 days
So the leave salary = 1,771 / 26 X 90.5 = KD 6,164
The indemnity will be calculated as follows:
Total service = 12 years (just a few days short)
First five years = 15 days salary for each year = 15 x 5
= 75 days /26 = 2,

Total indemnity = 7 +2.88 = 9.88 months remuneration

The company will try to calculate both the accumulated leave salary and indemnity on the basic pay but please ask the firm to check the Kuwait Labor Law which mentions “remuneration”, and this includes the basic salary plus all the allowances given regularly plus the bonus,
