There is nobody in the broadcasting industry that studies more film on every team in the leage than Merril. I say bring him out of the ESPN booth and let him put his knowledge to the X's and O's and see what he can do. I don't this it's any worse of a suggestion than the people saying that their shoe could do a better job... I mean Merril knows his stuff, knows what it is like to be a player in the league, and studies more than anyone. Give him a shot!

The Rooneys wouldn't do a lot of things that might be good for the team, but that would cost money. It doesn't mean they are right by not acting... it's just their style. Spend some money, lure a good offensive mind to Pittsburgh. Oh and upgrade our secondary while you're at it. Thanks!  |

A few year ago I told a friend Merril Hodge would be a head coach some day. This could bring this closer to a reality. I'd like the move, Hodge knows his football.
