Expect more from the Clippers this postseason, air jordan 12. Nothing less.
This Memphis series better be a given, and the Clippers got off to a promising start in making that happen.
It wasn't the way you would've expected them to win, but with Saturday's 112-91 win over Memphis it doesn't much matter how it happened.
"It's only one game," Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro said.
There was good and bad in the victory.
The oh-so-good was the Clippers out-rebounded the Grizzlies 47-23.
The Clippers out-worked and hustled for those rebounds, louis vuitton bags, got 14 of them on the offensive glass and had 25 second-chance points. The Clippers failed in other areas,Celine bag, like Blake Grifin fouling out and DeAndre Jordan nottaking just one shot, christian louboutin.
All that didn't seem to matter because the Clippers got so into forward Zach Randolph's head he picked up two early fouls and walked to the bench with his head down five minutes into the first quarter,"It was just something that didn't need to happen..
That was brilliant,Celine bags.
Of course, Griffin fouled out with 3:32 left, so taking advantage of Randolph's ineffectiveness was negated. With them on the bench, the game wasn't nearly as entertaining.
For the Clippers to win with Griffin and Jordan combining for 13 points and 13 rebounds was a testament to the Clippers bench,If you enjoy demonic characters,Celine bags, which has had its up and downs this season, gucci bags. But it came through with 49 points and 23 rebounds.
"That's a unique thing to have the depth we have,as defined in Section 9.04.010 of this chapter., so why not use it?" Del Negro said.
The AdvertisementClippers needed it Saturday.
It was a tight game until the Clippers pulled away by outscoring the Grizzlies 37-22 in the fourth quarter.
A win here in Game 2 Monday, and Memphis would be reeling, even if it's returning to Tennessee.
Angels reigning rookie of the year Mike Trout was in attendance after hitting a grand slam earlier in the day. He Tweeted he wanted to see "Lob City" but the Clippers didn't get their first dunk until Jordan offered one with 6:02 left. It also was his first shot of the game.
Staples Center was a sea of red, and Griffin surely was seeing red over some of the foul calls and his inability to contribute more, but he'll have to learn to play with quick whistles.
Chris Paul was his usual self with 23 points and 7 assists. Jamal Crawford, Eric Bledsoe, Matt Barnes and Co,true religion outlet. came through when Joran and Griffin didn't put up their usual numbers.
Chauncey Billups scored 10 first-half points and finished with 14. Last year he provided his experience and leadership from the bench after surgery to repair a torn Achilles tendon, and if the Clippers are to go far in the playoffs they'll need him.
And Griffin.
Griffin passed up a couple shots inside - huh? - took just six shots and scored six points in the first half. He was whistled for his fourth foul with 5:54 left in the third quarter,Robinson said. Griffin should be flexing his muscles at the start of the series and not vanishing from it. Bledsoe, who scored 15 points after making all seven shots, literally was flexing his muscles in the second half.
The big guys can't go missing for long stretches, not if these expectations are to be realized.
