Rutherford being interviewed in 93.7 the fan this morning and Kapanen's name keeps coming up for the top 6 next year.  I'd be shocked, but if it worked for Jeff Skinner and Patrick Kane, why not.

but they had no answer for Lukaku when he came on.

Their first touches are terrible, and their passing lacks a cutting edge.

Hopefully they can improve , because once the team has just a little bit of world class talent, they can go far.

Dude.  What's with the "they"?  We, win or lose.

Yes, well..since I don't currently play for the USMNT I don't include myself as part of them, they, team, etc.... But I do always, and will continue to, support and root for them..err...us.

I had a hilarious text message conversation earlier in the day with a Rags fan friend.  He said he was stoked for the signing of Glass, I asked why he would be.  He said because they need someone to replace Carcillo.  I said, exactly.

I'd put Bennett on Sid's RW, move Dupuis down to 3rd line RW, an play Megna instead of Adams, but I agree, I like what was done today as well.
I agree with that. I just figure Dupuis will probably start the season on Sid's wing. I hope this is the year that Bennett finally establishes himself as a top 6 winger.

Hats off to Howard. Belgium would have put 5 or 6 in had it not been for him. Amazingly enough the US should have won it in the last minutes of reg time, but they had no answer for Lukaku when he came on.

The US lacks a dominant striker ( Altidore is no where near one), and a #10. Their first touches are terrible, and their passing lacks a cutting edge. The final pass is also not very good.

Hopefully they can improve , because once the team has just a little bit of world class talent, they can go far.

I think it was a good day. I hope they sign Kumelin too. I think that could make a big difference.
Kunitz-Crosby-Dupuis
Kumelin-Geno-Hornqvist
Bennett-Sutter-Spaling
Adams-Goc-Comeau

That's pretty good. I like the defensive lines that Merman posted too.

Yeah I liked Stepniak as well.  I really like the idea of:

Letang-Martin
Ehrhoff-Maatta
Despres-Pouliet (Bortuzzo)

With Greiss in net. Man that would be awesome.

I would also take Stepniak on a 1 or 2 yr deal.  Seemed a good fit on the 3rd line and can move up when Bennett inevitably gets hurt
