Say Okobi gets cut in favor of two'fer Marvin Philip.

Does this move allow Essex to be cut and Capizzi kept, as Philip can backup a guard spot?  I dont' see Capizzi filling at backup LT position this year, but either Faneca gets moved to LT or possibly Starks gets another shot should Marvel go down.  

Capizzi won't make it on the practice squad.  Not with his size.

I think the whole O-line situation is so messed up Okobi needs to be kept this year for depth.  Say Marvel and Mahan go down, then I'd want Faneca, Kemo and Okobi in there to anchor the left side of the line.

If in 08' Faneca, Simmons, and Starks walk, then Marvel is in his final year... thats an unbelievably bad situation which Okobi may be able to capitalize on with his resonable contract.

The way its looking, we are going to have a nice cap cushion next year to go after a FA or be agressive in the draft.

Amen, aj.  I've never seen a player turn on the franchise as quickly as Faneca.  I'm sure he feels the franchise turned on him, but, whatever.
