I HATE Madden. Believe me.

The only thing I will say is a legitimate point is his concern about the offensive line. (Actually I shouldn't call it HIS concern because he is concerned about nothing but himself.)

But the point is that I'm still worried that his offensive line isn't good enough for us to be playoff caliber.

As to his comment about the corners....How is it that McFadden is better than Ike Taylor?

Santonio Holmes and Heath Miller MIGHT be starters elsewhere? Ummm....okay.

Someone here pointed out his flawed logic re how he evaluates the Ravens and Bengals. But let me state the same point in a different way.

It appears as though Madden has created a super team called the Rengals. It consists of the Ravens defense and the Bengals offense. The Steelers truly would have a hard time beating the Rengals (AKA The Bavens). Luckily the Bavens (aka the Rengals) aren't scheduled this season.

The part that is pathetic is that he does nothing without an agenda: he wants to be "controversial" and the center of attention.

I would actually have no problem with someone providing an intelligent analysis arguing that the Steelers are mediocre. I might disagree, but I would respect the analysis and leave it at that.

The problem with asshats like Madden is that they do nothing that is even approaching "objective". Madden is as reactive as a child and sadly he has been given a forum to act-out as a child.

Madden is this cities biggest star player butt kisser. Blah blah blah about how bad the Steelers are/will be, but don't point a finger at Ben. Same goes for Sid and especially Mario. Yes they are our cities superstars, but Madden gets sickening the way he sticks his nose up their butts. If he could he would have them all over his house for a sleep over to watch some WWF reruns. His WWF format radio show is getting to be old hat anymore. Some of the stuff he comes up with is just plain idiotic. One of many examples for some reason I remember was his idea of having a statue of his beloved Barry outside PNC Park. He rants on and on how his Barry deserves it more than the likes of Willie. Bonds played here, complained here, wined here then left here. He in no way represented anything about the team, the players or this city and its people the way Willie did. Wow I didn't realize the rant I'm on, I'll stop, for now. Madden, beware, I'm watching you and if you continue on your obvious downward spiral, I will apply for your job.

I just checked the NFL standings and it seems every team is sitting at .500.

The whole fuckin' league is mediocre!

Now, check the CFL standings and you'll see that the Saskatchewan Roughriders have won 7 of 9 games and won their last 5.

Oddly enough, he's simply rehashing exactly what has happened over the last three years.  When Ben is healthy an on his game, we are nearly unbeatable.  When he's off, mentally or physically, we are average at best.  Way to be ahead of the curve.

The Oline's not great.  Willie and Troy are really good.  Real original insights there.  I actually think he gave some guys more credit than I would.  Don't know that I would call Marvell a "legit big timer."  Foote's a nice player, but I don't think he'd crack the Ravens lineup.

On the other hand, saying Hines couldn't beat out Houshmanshanana is laughable.
