CB William Gay, a rookie fifth-round draft choice, has moved ahead of veteran Ricardo Colclough as No. 4 on the team.

I haven't seen this elsewhere, thought I'd post it.

Good pickup, Herc.  Coke hasn't had a bad offseason, IMO, but certainly not the breakthrough he needed.  Figured Gay would pass him... but not this fast.

Dude is a player.

Thanks.

Yeah, I think the near-future secondary could include Gay as a starting CB, in a backfield that includes hard-hittin' Troy Polamalu and the possibly psychotic Anthony Smith (I mean that in a good way -- dude likes to hit, and he's mean about it).

That would be a hard-hittin' secondary, as WG is an intimidator as well.

maybe Coke figured it was better than having Gay behind him..

WA WA!!!

This only helps this team.. It sue is nice that the second doesn't give me ulcers going into each and every week.. a couple of years ago they could single handed get us blown out.. and now i think they are doing about the opposite, helping us to completely shut down teams..

i still wouldn't min if Troy was a tad better in coverage but hell he's so good everyelse that i'm not gonna complain..

if it's true then i'm officially excited about Gay being on this team and official dissappionted in Coke.. not the Steelers because he seems to have to tools.. i'm down on Coke because it just doesn't seem like he wants it bad enough..
