Or does Clark Haggans look a lot stronger and a lot more aggressive this year?  Perhaps he's playing for the contract, or are they cutting him loose more to rush the passer?

He and Jeff Reed must be on the same program. Is it me, or is Reed completely, totally roided out?

Dude has to be on something, he ain't had this stronga leg in..well...ever.

Yeah, he's kicking it 3 and 4 yards deep every fucking kickoff. What the hell? Wasn't he kicking it off between the 5 and 10 last year? He has thigh's the size of tree trunks, but that's not anything new.

I read somewhere during training camp where the kickers were quoted in saying that Tomlin was having them (punters and kickers) kick a ton of balls.  I inferred that Cowher didn't have them kick so much.  Maybe this is the reason to the extra boost in Reeds leg?

Some pharmaceutical rep came into work today, saw my Steelers stuff in the office and said she went to UNC with Willie Parker and Jeff Reed.

She said Reed was a drunk back then too.

As you were.

I love the picture that CBS shows for Reed.  It doesn't look much different that the bar pic above.

Back to the original question: Yes, I have noticed that Clark Haggans has been playing like a beast.

There's something to this Tomlin guy. I'd say that the play of Townsend, Taylor, Clark, and Haggans have improved significantly.

Not sure what Clark is doing on this list.  He was, at worst, solid last year.

I agree with that.  Haggans is playing like a guy who wants a deal.  He gets held a lot, always has, but IMO his long-term here is as a backup.

Of course, that's what I said about Clark and Townshend, too...

Maybe a nice 3 year deal to finish out his career here.
