I think what we have is a great 3-4 zone blitz innovator collaborating very well with a coverage specialist and we're getting the best of both worlds.

Caveat to the above is, let's see how we do against Cincy and NE.

I think that possibly the difference with Tomlin we're seeing early is in our pass coverage -- his rep as a great pass coverage teacher seems to be in effect.

More than once, the group at the bar has wondered how no one was open when the opposing QB has bought some extra time.

It just always seemed under Cowher that when we brought extra pass rushers, and the rush got blocked, I winced, because I knew people would be open everywhere.

Ditto.

It's nice to not be on the verge of soiling whenever a pass goes deep and whenever we field a punt.

This gives me more time to let everyone know that teams can only hope to contain Matt Spaeth...the TD machine.

Normally, I like Jaws.

I thought the first 2 were perty good, but that 3rd one sucked balls to no end and dont even go their with the 4th one.  and FFS it was in 3D.  who in the hell makes a shark movie in 3D?  

but i have to say that slow mo scene with lou gossett and dennis quaid as Jaws crashes through the underwater window was freakin awesome!

I hope to God that at some point this season Kornheiser chooses to reflect on the bond between a QB and "receiver" by saying "they go together like dick and jaws" so that they both get fired. Bring back Dennis Miller. Or just put Sterling Sharpe on.

that "biggest johnson" quote is a classic...i like it almost as much as when during the Ravens/Steelers monday night game on Halloween a few years ago, Al Michaels after a tackle said, "the cornerback just came from behind and gave him a reacharound."

I remember that. My Dad and I started laughing, but no one else seemed to hear what he said,or their minds weren't embedded in the gutter like ours. One or the other I guess.
