I agree with the person that left this comment on that article:

I wan't a job with the league checking for uniform violations. They probably pay the guy 200k a year.

The dude must work on commissions or something.  Base + 10% of every infraction.

Anyone remember in like 2000 or 01 when a handful of Steelers all started sporting black chinstraps? I'm certain they got fined but I thought that was pretty cool

I believe it was the 97-98 seasons Y2J. Cause i remember it as well, it was with the new look numbers, and Bettis new pad style and black chin strap looked awesome.
