This is one statistic that I find truely amazing, 30 games without allowing a 100 yard rusher. Does anyone know what the NFL record is and who owns it?

50..The hated Raturds went Game 16 '98 through Game 14 '01 without allowing a 100 yard rusher.

We would have broken that record in week 7 that season, had it not been for Kris Friggin' Brown. Who, btw, nailed a 57-yard game-winner yesterday. Nice.

I think he's referencing the time he shanked a 30-ish yard kick that would've sent the game into overtime, and, I guess, gave Bettis the chance to go over 100 for the day.

He actually shanked four of them which caused us to fall behind and pass much more in the 4th quarter than normal. Bettis had 94 yards on the day but only carried it once or twice late in the game. Had Brown made a couple of those we would have been tied or had the lead and surely he would have gained 6 yards.
But, at any rate, the guy is doing well now, so more power to him. Whatever.

I saw that and nearly vomitted. I guess it just takes some guys 5 or more years to figure out how to kick...

He always had a leg, now he's got a nice stadium with a retractable roof to call home.
Oh, and he doesn't have to kick out of mud anymore either, that probably helps.

Still not sure what Brown or Bettis has to do with our defense stopping someone from going over 100? Now the field conditions well yea, but still??
Thanks for the feedback.
So we could be 41 to 46 by the end of this year. Next year we remove the birds from the record books. Nice bragging rights.

The point was, the Ravoons would never have made it to 50 if Brown hadn't missed those field goals; we'd've been ahead or close, and therefore would have run the ball more. Since Bettis had 90-some yards, it seems likely he would have topped 100.
Has nothing to do with our current streak.

45 even.
Except I'm pretty sure playoffs don't count.
