Big Ben - Top 5 QB

I see ESPN.com ranked the top QB's in the league. Ben got a pretty decent ranking - 5th - pretty good for a game manager and system quarterback...haha He's finally getting the some of the respect he deserves. Although, he should be ranked ahead of romo. What has Romo done in his short career anyways? - thrown 5 picks on a monday night game when Big Ben has a super bowl ring. On a side note, it's nice to see Ben ranked above Palmer.

It's ashame Batch is so far down the list.
I'd choose Batch over Kerry Collins and Trent Dilfer any day.

I guess when you're reduced to arguing where your backup should be ranked, you can't say too much about the list. I can't argue much with their top 20.
Regarding Batch - Frerrotte? Sage Rosenfels? Kerry Collins? Greise?
Quinn and Russell are ranked ahead of him and they have yet to play a meaningful down in the NFL.
Batch should be in the mid 30's.

I still say Batch has could start for at least 5 teams in the NFL and be an improvement over what they have now.
Steelers are lucky to have him. And he seems happy to be there.

39. Billy Volek
Backup, San Diego Chargers
Volek has long been considered as one of the best backup signal-callers in the league. He has a solid arm with good instincts and the ability to read coverages. Volek has the tools to move an offense and may go down as one of the more talented backup QBs.
I thought he played hockey!?

Careful, penso's delete finger has been itchy lately. Something to do with 100 papers to grade and that sketchy chick he met while succumbing to several yachtsmen, if you know what I mean.
Very itchy. Go to the doctor itchy.

Anybody see Volek last week against the TITans while Cutler was out?
Terrible. You'd think he'd want to stick it to his former team.
Amazingly, I agree with the top 5 QBs. McNabb is not a top 10 QB. Jon Kitna should be much higher than 19th.

why is eli manning even on that list? i should amend my top 5 hated and put him number 3 in front of the Lakers. he's such a baby. Give Big Ben the talent Brady has around him and he's number one.
another thing, I hate the Cowboys as much as the next Steeler, maybe more, but everyone's giving Romo such a bad name where honestly, he's played well enough this year that no one talks about that fumbled field goal snap from last year. Fuck that guy but he's playing pretty damn well unfortunately.

12. Derek Anderson
Starter, Cleveland Browns
Without a doubt, he has made a name for himself and a lot of money in the future based on his performance in offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski's system since taking over as the starter in the second game of the season. Anderson has one of the stronger arms in the NFL, which has allowed the Browns to attack all levels in the passing game. He is a prototypical pocket passer with
average to above-average
accuracy in the short and intermediate areas in the passing game.
HarryAWay told me last week, he was a big fan of Derek Anderson.
Also Charlie Batch should be #24 on that list. Much better than Deer-in-the-headlights Pennington.
