Miller should've had the first down anyway. He'd have had a better shot by taking the defender(s) on and trying to go over them. Once you're airborne, you're usually screwed. Just like that one Niner fan told me last week.
And splat had it right, I never leave early.
I dunno how he could've done it better. The defender went low on him and upended him, and the guy has the presence of mind to extend the non-ball-carrying hand and leverage as many extra inches out of his gravitational return (6 ft./s. sqaured) as he can. Looking at the replay, I was pretty much in awe. He got the ball as far as anyone in that situation could have, IMO.
I enjoy watching the games at home, but if I have the chance to get out to Heinz, I'm planting ass until the clock reads 0:00. Calling out DeWayne Washington after he got torched by Torry Holt to the tune of 175 yards after several hours in cold, pouring rain: priceless. You can't do that shit from your car, pussies.
