Seems like Troy is no sure thing tomorrow. It really hasn't been a stellar year for him. Surely not a Pro Bowl year. But, he will be missed tomorrow if he doesn't play......Carter and Smith..Ughhh <shudder>

Why don't we just put a red + on the other side of our helmet and have a blood drive before the game?
Oh, well, you gotta be tough enough to battle when the chips are down...and right now, it's looking like our chips are REALLY down.

Well thats good news for a change. Hopefully he can go for 60 minutes tomorrow. He hasn't been the tightest tackler this year, but hopefully he can make some plays and not allow any big ones..

It's not just Maul, though. If he's out, then Carter goes back to SS and either Mad Anthony Smith or Madison end up at FS. Carter's no All-Pro back there, but at least he won't get suckered each and every time that the Jagoffs run play action.
That said, I'll take good news wherever found in this postseason injury swamp. Ditto for Rossum. Podlesh has been a below average punter this year, but Scobee has been above average on kickoffs, putting a quarter of those through the EZ. Steelers are going to have to win the turnover battle, and Rossum is by default the best PS option for this game.

Last week on NBC's Sunday night highlight show, Bettis pretty much gauranteed that LeBeau would have a different defense in place for the playoffs.
Hopefully that is the case, at least for the JAgs so they can stop the run.

I wouldn't say I've been *missing* it, Bob.

Apparently Troy had a cortisone shot that is making him look a bit bloated, but coaches say he's showing a lot of fire in practice.
