Does the offense always wear white and the defense gold?

I've seen some pics from the Woodson era where the offense was in black.

Any geezers out there, that have attended camp for quite a few years???

Considering how f'n hot and humid it gets at Steeler Training Camp, it would be punishment to have to wear black.

Actually, though, that's a great point. Have all OL players second string and down wear black. That would be tremendous motivation to stay on top of the depth chart.

I think they switched from black to gold after the death of Korey Stringer in '01 or '02.
