Dallas Cowboys OC Jason Garrett has been offered the HC job of the Ravens. He has one year of coordinator experience.

Weird situation in Big D last year. Jerry wanted Garrett, so offered him the OC spot before hiring the HC; almost seemed to dangle the idea of someday becoming the HC; now, all of a sudden, Garrett is somehow one of these hot commodities in coaching circles. Maybe they're copying the Tomlin model.
Guess we'll find out if he can carry two turds in a bucket.

There's speculation here that Jerry may fire Wade in order to keep Garrett. Wouldn't that be a helluva thing? And there's speculation that the Ratbirds want an answer out of Garrett before he has a chance to talk to Jones again. Hehehe.

This is good stuff.
I'm hoping the Ratties get left behind and have to hire Rich Kotite out of desperation.

I dunno.
I think Garrett is sorta riding the coattails of having one of the hot commodities in the league at QB. Romo has a big year and he benefits, but I don't think he's any sort of "genius" coach.
I mean, look at the gameplan he threw together for the Giants. New York was banged...up in the secondary and Dallas comes out and favors the run early with a couple of long, clock munching drives in the first half. Yeah, Romo ended up with 36 attempts, but a lot of those came in the 4th when they were already down.
I was really expecting them to come out (especially with Glenn back) and spread that NY defense out like a pornstar, but it never really happened. They were content with hammerin' away with Barber. Romo and the WRs never really get in rhythm and when they really needed to get it done, WRs were dropping passes or Romo was overthrowing them.
Eh, what the fuck do I know. Maybe his getting the Ratty job is a blessing in disguise. Another supposed "offensive genius" takes the reins.
Giddyup.

Garrett would be the best QB in their locker room if training camp started today!

According to PFT.com Jerry Jones is willing to match any financial offer made to Garrett in order to keep him as the offensive coordinator (and as the future coach of the Cowboys).
Garrett could potentially make more $ as a coordinator than his head coach.
PFT is also saying that Jim Harbaugh is Baltimore's plan "B".

Wade Phillips has reportedly offered Garrett first class travel arrangements and a healthy moving stipend to any city in the US.

Jim Harbaugh! What he done?
They'll suck for another 5 years if they hire Harbaugh.
