Well,

A couple observations:

1) There's no question that the line situation has to have some sort of resolution before draft day.

Whats the answer?  It'd probably SAVE us cap $ this year to lock up Marvel, Kemo, and Starks!  I still say we don't cut Mahan and have him be the interior line back-up.  Stapleton and draft/Hadnot battle for center?

2)The cap number has to come down before this summer to sign the draft picks. Bet you'll see Keisel, Ike,  or Simmons restructure too.

3)Look out Ced. I also hope Nate and Willie Reid step it up a notch this year.

4)Look out Hines and a few others after this season.  Cap casualty city.  At least with Farrior and few others' contracts up we'll get some more relief after 08' but not enough to replace some of the folks who are getting up there in age or deals are running out after 09'.  We'll really have to be agressive in drafts, FA, or resigning folks not to have a talent drop off in 10'.

Ok, here is some players that i was looking at who could be cut, who could restructure, and who will be big numbers off the books next season...

Cut:
Sean Mahan (just sucks, maybe restructure then cut?)
2008 - $2,975,000
2009 - $3,975,000
2010 - $4,300,000
2011 - $4,300,000

Najeh Davenport (Moore signing with draft pick)
2008 - $1,202,500

Ryan Clark (only if still injured, restructured in 2007)
2008 - $2,212,500
2009 - $2,412,500

Cedrick Wilson
2008 - $2,585,000

Restructure:
Ike Taylor
2008 - $5,740,000
2009 - $5,100,000
2010 - $5,100,000

Kendall Simmons
2008 - $4,970,000
2009 - $4,670,000
2010 - $5,970,000
2011 - $6,170,000

Marvel Smith (restructured in 05, resign to play RT or LT depending on draft)
2008 - $6,645,500

Gone next season:
James Farrior
2008 - $4,498,750

Charlie Batch
2008 - $1,621,667

So if you do the cuts or restructures, then deal with Starks Transition tag, that should be able to free up quite a bit of money...
