Browns' moves
«

People seem to be swooning over the Browns' offseason moves so far. My first reaction to this is, "They're still the Browns." My second reaction is, "They didn't get all that much."
Of course, I am ashamed to say that I heard Colin CowTurd today, and he agrees with me that the Browns made a lot of splash that will amount to nothing. This is forcing me to reconsider my position on the matter.
So what do you think? Did the Browns really help themselves, or did they turn their locker room into the Cincinnati East?

If they don't win the division and make their move this year or next, IMO, they're screwed. No R1-3 picks hurts the long-term window.
Who's their QB? Anderson or Quinn? Is either a guy to take them deep?
Still, they're gonna be better than the Bungles or Ratties again.

Offensively, they're pretty good and the addition of Stallworth makes 'em even better. Will Anderson succumb to the soph jinx? We'll see. Even if he does, Quinn will be a pretty good NFL QB, IMO. Maybe not right away, but it's a pretty good guy to have as a #2 QB.
Defensively, Rodgers? Meh. Couple years too late. Williams will help a little as he's underrated.
To summarize, I expect them to be in a lot of shootout type games again this year, but so much of them developing into a legit division contender rests (as usual) with the development of their young QBs. If Anderson plays well this year, they'll be .500 or better.
If I had to rank how I'd project the division to pan out, I'd list 'em like this:
Steelers > Browns >> Bengals >> Ravens

Transvetite: Pre-op.

Browns have almost no draft picks this year. They have a one-year window and then they will right back to rebuilding.

I find myself entranced by every move the Browns make this offseason.
Romeo Crennel and Phil Savage ride a bike!
Romeo Crennel and Phil Savage look over the play book from the comfort of a tree!
Phil Savage tells Romeo Crennel what a giant sphincter Brian Billick was to work with!
Romeo Crennel and Phil Savage build a Reche Caldwell snowman!
