Bill Cowher coached his 15th season with the Steelers in 2006.  Only six coaches in NFL history had longer uninterrupted tenures with one franchise.

And that's it.

So, who are the six coaches?

I know that I can name four.  I think I can name five.

Noll.  Landry.  Shula.  Halas.

The last two, I'd have to look up.

Figure it has to be one old timer and one modern day type coach.

Paul Brown?  Not sure if his tenure was uninterrupted and not sure if this counts pre-merger years.

Fisher?  He started a year after Cowher, I think.

Levy?

Shanarat?

If it's not one of those last three, those guys gotta be close to 15 years.

First four, obviously.

#5 is Curly Lambeau at GB.

#6?  I'm not sure.  Paul Brown was with the Browns for 18 years, but 5 of those the Browns were in the AAFL, so not sure if that counts.

Fisher maybe?

I'm thinking #6 is Bobby Petrino.

Fuck.  I am such an idiot.

Nick Saban coached twice as long as Petrino.
