I don't care if Lovie Smith and Tony Dungy are black. Good for them. But that doesn't change the way I feel about them. The longer we keep looking at guys like Tony Dungy and Lovie Smith as "BLACK HEAD COACHES" as opposed to just "coaches" the longer race will continue to be a problem. --DoctorJohnnyFever

 Wow that is a nice suprise.  So now we made need only 1 OL in this draft.  This opens the door for anything in rnd 1.

Disagree.

I like the signing a LOT, but anyway you scramble it, you're still going to have at least 2 guys starting on our O-Line that simply weren't. very. good. last season.

I'm still all about using 2 of the first 3 picks to take O-linemen.  And if the other pick is a D-lineman, I'd be pleased as pie.

Great signing...Wanted this guy since I heard he was released...

Mahan better watch his ass now... With Kemo accepting his 1 yr tender and many experts having us draftin Alberts in the 1st... Mahan could be on the fast track out..

Still liking Alberts or Chris Williams in the 1st round..Mike Mayock said Alberts could be a dominate LT in the future.. And with Marvels contract expiring after this yr a replacement could be lined up..

Which of the two would you rather in the 1st round with the current O-line situation ( contracts expiring and depth)???

If both were available id lean to Williams

I didn't think he would sign with the Steelers due to $$$.

I reserve judgment on this signing, as I thought Mahan was a decent signing last year.

2 year deal allows more development time for Stapleton, who probably needs it.

The deal itself is really good, considering money that's being thrown around elsewhere.

Wow, son of a gun. Very pleased.

That pretty much excludes drafting a center.

Tackle, Guard pretty much still possible.

What's done with Max, Smith, and Kemo concerning extentions will guide us on how the team will draft.

 My feeling is if two of three are extended, R1 is probably DL not ruling out WR.

So who was cut or restructured???

If we were only around 700-800K under, I presume we are right on top of or over the cap.

I am shocked.  Not that I was overly impressed with the Panthers oline the last few years.

But, perhaps this opens some doors to take BAA in the draft rather than being forced to reach for a need and take a C/G/T that really isn't worth a 1.23.
