Since only 15 selections can be listed, I removed former Rep. Tim Roemer, former Sec. of State Colin Powell, Sen. Russ Feingold, and Sen. Tom Harkin.

I think there's no way he'll take HRC as VP, despite the media frenzy: like dropping a rabid badger down your shorts.

IMO, the most likely may be Kathleen Sebelius, Jim Webb, or Bill Richardson.

I don't know many of those people on the list.  Colin Powell would be an excellent choice IMO.  He'd be well served to get somebody who's strong in the areas where he's perceived to be weak - precisely why Powell would be great.

Agreed, there's no way in hell it's Hillary.

I think Powell's just too disgusted with politics, having been burned and tarnished by the Bushies.  He's also McCain's age, FWIW.  IMO, he would not accept if asked, but may be a surprise supporter of Obama at some point.  If he wanted to maximize the effect, he could announce it around Nov. 1...

IMO, it may be more likely that McCain would select an African-American veep than Obama (Jindal, Watts).

I like Wesley Clark, former general would really help in the foreign policy department where Barack is viewed as weak.

I voted for Gov. Richardson. NM, CO, and NV are key battleground states, and Richardson would help shore up Latinos and Westerners. Also addresses some of Obama's perceived weakness/inexperience at foreign policy. I would also like Edwards, but he wouldn't accept the post again.

I voted for Edwards, for no reason other than the effect of whitening the ticket.  John Edwards is about as white as you can get, after all.

I'd like to see Biden.  Head of the senate foreign relations committee.  Smart guy, very experienced.  Might have had a chance at being pres himself if he had any personality.
