Yesterday, I'm using my PC.  No problems.  Everything's working fine.  I walk away for a bit and come back to see that my entire monitor screen has this plaid, kaleidoscope thing going on where the image just repeats and kinda puts you into a trance (think, Findude's favorite sport coat).

I assumed that my monitor just shit the bed, so I went out and splurged on a nice 22"~incher (hehe).  I had a bad feeling as I was taking it out of the box that it wasn't going to work and either my video card or worse, the MB is shot.  I assembled it, plugged it in...BAM!...same result.  Fucker.

Now what?  Swap out the video card?  Is it a Windows problem?  Motherboard fried?

Help, please.

I think your next stop is the video card. That will likely do the trick.

Is your current "card" integrated into the MB? If so, then it could me MB related. I doubt it is Windows related.

Uh, que?  220?

And, I don't think the video card is integrated into the MB.  Pretty sure it's a plug-in, drop-in whatever you call it.  It's an nVidia GForce 4, I think.

Good news I guess is that I can return the monitor.  The bad news is...that I can return the monitor.  

Man, these new widescreen models are suh-weet.

Yep, 'twas the video card.  Back up and running.  Thanks for the assistance, fellas.

Still undecided on the monitor.  It's nice, just having a hard time convincing myself that it's 300 big ones nice.

As a sidenote, I love these new banners.  I can meet Christian singles in my area??  Awwwwwwesome!!!
