Supposedly signing with the Lions or Steelers today.
Does not seem to make sense signing here. Would not supplant FWP, RM, and probably MM. Is Kevin Jones >>> Dookie? Really??? I.e., KJ > Gary Russell > Dookie?
Jones is soon 25 and coming off the Ducer, the dreaded Lisfranc. Russell is healthy, with untapped potential, and is soon to be 22.
I don't get it. KJ ain't a return guy...
He looks like a fit for a team with depth issues...
Unless the left field theory explains it.
That being, we're so incredibly happy with Mendenhall and Moore that we believe we can take two new guys into the season and bring in Jones to battle Russell for the #3 and #4 spots. Parker, who will be 28 this year, still has a low contract/cap hit, and while he's coming off a broken leg would have substantial trade value. We pick up a R1 pick, mebbe, and if Jones doesn't pan out we're still a solid three deep, if not the extraordinary 4 we were with FWP in that mix.
I dunno, the Steelers wouldn't trade Willie, would they?
They wouldn't sell the team to a non-Rooney, would they?
