Time to use a pellet gun.  One shot to the head, no blood, no mess and most importantly, no evidence for any PETA members living in your house!!!!!!

A non-hunting city dwelling friend of mine has a terrible problem with rabbits.  They tunnel under concrete, dig holes near the foundation of his house, etc.  It is so bad he purchased a pellet gun and turns into Carl Spackler at dusk.  His 9 year old son was all concerned when he saw him shoot one, so he waits until he isn't around.
