PPG hasn't reported it.  The Trib hasn't reported it.  ESPN hasn't reported it.  The Steelers haven't reported it.  Then again, I'm still trying to figure out why we would sign two QB's in the first place.  Anyways, the latest from the PPG...

The Steelers have brought two veteran quarterbacks to training camp today and will sign one of them to replace Charlie Batch as their backup.

Well, to be fair, TIOPS.com reported it (a site you used often with the Pens, with decent results) yesterday before the SportingNews piece (which now is listed as a source).

Depaoli says PFT.com reported the dual signings, but I read the PFT.com article and says nothing of a signing, though it says they have word that they will both will be "added."  Pretty vague reporting.

The Trib and PPG weren't on the same page with who was coming in for auditions.

Don't know where the Sportingnews got their stuff from.  They were the only clear "signed" link.

Never saw anything from ESPN.

Edit: TIOPS.com reporting the Steelers sign Leftwich

Words to live by:  "Dick LeBeau is Dick LeBeau," Tomlin said. "Everybody knows Dick."

The source could have been TIOPS, the Tribune Review, the PPG, Sporting News or Quahog 5 (WQHG) for all I care, I was just trying to figure out why we would sign two QB's.

Turns out we signed one.
