Pancreatic cancer.

Very sad.

Al Davis has just offered a 3 year deal to the remains of Gene Upshaw.

Yeah, I don't even remember hearing that he was ill.  Pancreatic cancer has a very low survival rate.

From what I heard it was generally unknown in the NFL and even the Players Association.

It does indeed....My father-in-law has been VERY fortunate. He was diagnosed and treated for pancreatic cancer in 1995. He is still here today cancer free. One of the fortunate few. That is a terrible disease.

Goodamned C word again.

RIP, sir.

As things stand today, still probably better than 3, maybe 4, of the Steelers starting O-line.

Did I read correctly on the Bottom Line this morning? It said he was diagnosed SUNDAY! That is insane!

It must be an especially sad day for the owners, as he might be replaced by someone unwilling to bend over and take it from them.
