Hey, would anyone mind posting gameday stuff over
there
? Still wanting to get a feel what a little traffic will do, e.g., is the forum still responsive/loading fast?
Houston Gameday thread.
Grassy ass.
BTW, when in the Gameday forum over there the threads aren't in order. Just click the "Subject" column header to properly sort them.

Well, almost gametime. Seems like this game might come down to how well the OL plays. Hopefully they can give BR the time he needs, and open some holes for the RB's....Here we go Steelers! Here we go!

Clark Haggans who? Lamar is a freaking beast out there. FWP looks like he has has step back. OL is holding it together as well. BR for MVP. He will have the stats to prove it in January.

So the team came out clicking on all fronts today.... just a clinic by Ben.... The D looks rejuvinated with Woodley and Timmons in there.
Until the O-Line started to have problems.
Looks like Ben has a theigh bruise- I hope thats all it is.

Impressive opening 2nd half drive. Old school between the tackles smash mouth running. Me likey. Good for FWP to finally start hitting the EZ. The line has been looking OK, especially Kemo. You gotta expect a top quality player like Williams to make a few plays, so I gotta say, overall, the score speaks for itself.......so far...

What surprised the crap out of me is that Santonio and Washington were non-existant.... Hines, Heath, and Willie were that dominant.
I might be wrong about Hines, work on a couple year extention for him in the offseason to lessen the 09' cap hit instead of cap-cutting him.
I still think the O-line is a little suspect, but had a great start to the season.

I was thinking the same thing. that opening drive of the 2nd half was amazing to say the least. After willie sat out after that long run, in came RM and we didnt miss a beat. Its going to be one hell of a luxury to have 2 stellar dudes in the backfield.

Washington COULD have had a decent outing if he handled that long pass from baby fat. Holmes was just a product of the texans inability to do shit the entire game. Had the score been a little closer, we definitely would have been passing a little more.
Fucking Heat was on freakin fire the first half, was kind of upset that BA stopped going his way. But overall I cant complain about the passing attack.
the only play that I had a problem with was that 3rd and short in the first half I believe, where we had an empty backfield and every friggin WR in bunched formation. I saw it getting blown up the moment FWP went into motion.

Santonio will get his.
Washington made a hell of an effort on that ball, BTW. That was a Tyree-like attempt, but the coverage was good. If Gary Coleman had put it on a spot where the DB couldn't reach it...

Everyone looked great. There were a few miscommunications on the front five, but most was minimal. Smith does tend to have trouble with speed rushers vs. bigger guys, but to be fair too, Super Mario is one of the better DEs nobody talks about. As a whole, Marvel played very, very well. Having a healthy back probably plays a big part in that.
Ben, Willie, Ward, Holmes, Miller, Mendenhall...all solid.
Defensively, great effort from the front seven. I had said that the Harrison and my boy Woodley edge combo would go bananas this year and if yesterday was any sort of indication, they will threaten some team sack records. Good to see TP back out there and flyin' around and that goes double for guys like A.Smith and especially R.Clark. This squad is totally different when at full strength.
Solid performance. IMO, I think the key now is to not get too high from it going into the Clowns game.

Well, we've basically dominated those bastards. For all the great off-season moves the Browns did, that D looked like it couldn't stop a three-legged dog from pissing. And Air Anderson was grounded. I know they have some WRs out, but so did McNabb, and he still threw for about a yard per pound of Casey Hampton's weight.
I hate to be over-confident, but this so-called race between the Browns and Steelers for the AFCN crown doesn't look too difficult. If we play our game Sunday, we should win by an even bigger margin than we did over the Texans.
Browns, not good. Ravens, maybe worse. Bengals, oh the humanity.

Man, I said the SAME DAMN THING to the guys!!
I was waiting for him to break out with "
What you talkin' 'bout Willis?"
But seriously, when does Charlie come back. Cause I'm not a big fan of GC just yet....
And I'm hoping we get to sit Ben down in mid-3rd quarter for many games.
