ALso, the Bungles are starting rookies at LT and LG. Silverback may break the single season sack record tonight.
The guy starting for Levi is Anthony Collins, a rookie frommmm...Kansas, I think. He was their R4 pick and a guy that several here (myself included) advocated Pittsburgh taking somewhere in the mid rounds to bolster their O-line.
I'll be interested to see how he handles the likes of #92 lining up across from him.
27-9
final score with Ben going something like 14-19 for 169 and Messrs, Parker, Moore and Russell combining for 35 rushing attempts, 172 yards and 3 TDs.
AJ nails it. Good call.

Solid ass whipping by the defense. Glad they held them off at the end; would have hated to see the garbage time TD.
Might have had a shutout if Ernster could punt farther than my 10 year old.
Willie get hurt again? Didn't look good pulling up on that last run.
Heat got involved, nice to see.
Offense wasn't eye popping, especially early. But they got the job done.
Tomlin should have 50 punter resumes coming off his fax machine tomorrow...

Just finished watching the tape delay version. Underwhelmed going into halftime but the second half is about what you'd like to see. No picks for Ben, nice. Solid defensive performance. They have their short yardage guy.
What happened to Parker? Moore steps in and does a great job yet again.
San Antonio got the jacked the fuck up, hope he's otay.
Woodly had the only sack!? With two backups on the left side I figured they'd have 3 or 4 sacks by halftime.
Not an especially exciting game but a solid win when they need 'em. Another tough stretch coming up in the schedule. Hope they can spank the Patsies next week.

Yeah, Ernster might want to get a jump on his moving plans in the next 10 days. dont think he will be making the trip to NE.
Tomlin described his performance as "horrible" and said the team will explore alternatives during its 10-day break between games.

There are a billion collegiate punters who never stick in the bigs who could punt better than Ernster. I'm sure they'd be happy to give up their jobs at Enterprise Rent-a-Car to kick for us.

IMO, Collins was very solid regardless of who lined up across from him. I hate to say that he handled Harrison one-on-one a few times with relative ease; one of those was a pancake, drive him to the ground block. And, he did it without the regular holds that we've seen from most LTs that have faced Pittsburgh.
To be fair though, Cincy was doing their best to avoid another 5+ sack night by having Fitzpatrick getting rid of the ball on quick 3 and 5 step drops. Anytime he held the ball longer, the vultures were circling.
Betcha Collins becomes their starting LT sooner rather than later. Sure woulda been nice to see him in a Steeler uni.

I thought Collins went pretty late in the draft (R4). Maybe we'll see Tony Hills become a great LT for us (our R4), or maybe Bruce Davis will show his worth as the R3 pick where we could have taken Collins.
