Out short yardage playing hasn't exactly instilled a lot of confidence, but, still....

YOU PLAY.....TO WIN.....THE GAME!

Got to go for the win, there.
Especially on the road.

Guess I'm too conservative.  With the division possibly on the line, you gotta tie the game and hope for the best.

We haven't exactly been money on fourth and goal so far this year.  Kick it.

Just glad we didn't have to make the decision.

Someone, and I'm suspecting it was BA, really blew it on the 1st down when Ben spiked it.  Almost a minute left with a timeout.  I couldn't believe it.  Any quick pass play in the EZ stops the clock, complete or incomplete.

If they went for it on 4th down and didn't get it, or kicked the FG and lost in OT, this would be a huge deal and a huge knock on Ben in the media.

I'm guessing BA was telling him to spike it.

With one time out left, I would  have let the clock run down to 25 or 30 seconds before executing the first down play.  That would give them a chance to even try a draw play after spreading them out with 4 wide.

Maybe they didn't want to risk Ben taking a sack and being able to stop the clock?  Even the first TO they took on the drive I thought was unnecissary.

Moot point now, but something I hope they ponder for the playoffs.

Yeah, I have to agree that the spike was a waste.  No doubt it was a panic move - no doubt at all.  It appeared that Ben was looking over to the sideline for a play and the spike signal came in.  That's how it looked to me anyways.

Hell, they were up to the line and had first and goal with 50+ seconds to go and a time out or two to boot!  WTF!?

The worry at that time was scoring too fast and leaving time on the clock, taking some stupid penalty and then letting them get a decent return to midfield to start their possession with 40 secs left on the clock.  OH?  That's what happened?

Yeah, I hope they get that worked out before the playoffs start.

I guess this is what drew the penalty on Reed.

If anyone out there on the Internets still has the game recorded and would be willing to burn it to a disc and send it to me, please let me know and I'll gladly pay for any costs incurred.

I have absolutely no idea what happened to my DVR.  Recorded 4 minutes of the game and that's it.  Somebody at my house must've messed with it somewhere along the line.  I shoulda set it to record on more than one receiver.

*sigh*
