And that's one difference between Indy and Cincinnati.
come on man, kind of tough penalty for some herbage. doncha think?
I have to ask myself a question...
Who's to say that this is this guy's first offense? For all we know this guy could be a complete jagoff in the lockerroom. For all we know this guy could have had run-in's with the law in the past and it has been covered up or simply pushed under the carpet. I'm sure that happens more times than I can count. IMO, I think there's more to this guy than a dime bag of reefer and a speeding ticket.
Eitherway, I find it very hard to fault a team for booting a player off their team for drugs. Even if it is his first offense. That is their choice and that is how they want to handle business. More power to them in my book. It's better than watching how Cincinnati and Dallas handle their business. Bottomline in my book, they have the right to protect their organization.
Now me personally, I'm all for giving a guy one strike. After that, your gone in my book. It's bad enough they (the league/courts) give athletes a pass time and time again, but I have no problem giving a man a second chance.
