Ya, I read that and was definately thinking WTF. It was the freakin Bungles. He might actually turn out to be good, but it was only one game against a terrible team. Lets see another 12 staight wins, 32 TD's in a season, and a Ring before any comparisons should be made to Ben.

is it that freakin rare that a rookie wins his very first start or something???  either way, unless fucko plays in a hurricane, wins 14 straight, and makes it all the way to the AFCCG, he aint no Ben Roethlisberger.

I think this is a backlash from the national sports media basically ignoring Ben's contributions to the team's success the first two years.  Only after his accident and subsequent poor season did they bother to notice that the team's success went hand in hand with Ben playing well.  Prior to that they were too busy fluffing Eli, who wasn't ready for the big time yet, and Rivers, who was riding the pine behind Brees.

So after looking like complete idiots by completely missing the boat, they're gonna jump on anything that looks remotely close to possibly in some small way measuring up to him in the slightest.  Hence, Flacco's the man after one pedestrian win against a horrible team.
