I finally got a real job about 3 months ago.  That was after going through a few contract gigs for about 12-14 months, it was a very up and down period.  Right now though, I'm loving this job.  It's closer to home, small software development company in a nice area.  It's just awesome.  Plus, the salary is a tad better than before - rounded up to the next K, plus the usual benefits.  I have no complaints.

Also quit drinking back in Feb so now I have all this extra free time on my hands.  Been reading and obviously diddling around with some web stuff.

My experience has always been that drinking leads to more diddling, but what do I know?

So expound on the decision to quit drinking.  Health, weight?  Wrap a car around a pole?  Hittin' the missus with the heavy rings too often?

Is there some damning You-Tube somewhere of Jonzr past the point of no return that was the David Hasselhoff moment for you?

Wait...  ARE YOU DAVID HASSELHOFF!??!?!?

And if so, did you know Germans love you?

Some of the above - mainly health.  Basically reassessed my current position:  Am I as happy as possible?  Am I getting as much out of life as I could?  Am I making those around me happier or not?  Is there something that could turn all those No's to Yes?  It was obvious that was it.  It's the absolute best decision I've made in a long time.  That's the short, G-rated version.
