I'm actually pretty excited Powell endorsed Obama.  I suspect he wanted to for quite some time, but was torn by loyalties.  CP got screwed royally by the Bushies, and he might have wanted to endorse McCain but saw too much of the same in him.

Powell as an official or unofficial advisor in the Obama admin is a good thing, IMO.

I have a great admiration for Colin Powell.  I always thought that he was a man I could vote for, no matter which party he represented.  There is an integrity about him, no matter what happened during the Bushie years.
I'm not sure how influential this is to those "undecided" conservatives.  I'm not sure they were all that fond of him to begin with.

But either way, I'm happy with the endorsement!!
