"That's what he's known for," Bengals safety Chinedum Ndukwe said. "You expect that coming in. People are going to take their shots when they can. Too bad he can't hit someone face up. It's too bad he has to wait until he's not looking to get him. It's unfortunate. It's the type of guy he is. That's all right. We play them again. He's a blind-side guy."
So I take it the next time Ward is going across the middle and he's not paying attention, Chinedum Ndukwe wouldn't hit him? He would just simply let him catch the ball and take it 20-30 yards? I mean, apparently Ndukwe is not a "blind-side guy". Nice, I can't wait for the next meeting with these guys. They are too worried about Ward, instead of focusing on a win. Sounds like the Ravens.
And I'm sure Ward will get fined for the hit. He might as well go home right now and start writing out the check to the NFL. It's a shame really, it was a clean hit. It's not Ward's fault Rivers wasn't paying attention. It's no different in hockey, you skate with your head down, bad things are going to happen. Bad things happened to Rivers, welcome to the NFL rookie.
