Now that's harsh.  Is Goodell gonna fine him again?  It was a clean hit.

Hinesy might as well get some (belated) bang for his buck.

Any resulting injury shouldn't have any result on a fine.  The hit was clean.  It wasn't a late hit, he didn't lead with his helmet.  Time to see if Goodell runs a pansy league or not.

Holy shit did Rivers get lit up though.  Hines is a fucking beast.

That block was vintage Hines. Totally clean too. Better keep your head on a swivel out there rook.

Check out the crying.. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3652506

"That's what he's known for," Bengals safety Chinedum Ndukwe said. "You expect that coming in. People are going to take their shots when they can. Too bad he can't hit someone face up. It's too bad he has to wait until he's not looking to get him. It's unfortunate. It's the type of guy he is. That's all right. We play them again. He's a blind-side guy."

Umm, excuse me, but the block got MM an extra 10 yards or so. It wasn't away from the play, it was integral to the play. STFU you sorry ass pussies.

OK, to correct myself, it was a pass to Spaeth, and it only got him 3-4 more yards...Still, it was right in the middle of the play.

So I take it the next time Ward is going across the middle and he's not paying attention, Chinedum Ndukwe wouldn't hit him?  He would just simply let him catch the ball and take it 20-30 yards?  I mean, apparently Ndukwe is not a "blind-side guy".  Nice, I can't wait for the next meeting with these guys.  They are too worried about Ward, instead of focusing on a win.  Sounds like the Ravens.

And I'm sure Ward will get fined for the hit.  He might as well go home right now and start writing out the check to the NFL.  It's a shame really, it was a clean hit.  It's not Ward's fault Rivers wasn't paying attention.  It's no different in hockey, you skate with your head down, bad things are going to happen.  Bad things happened to Rivers, welcome to the NFL rookie.

If Scott Stevens played in the NFL, he would be a poor, poor man.

Aint that the truth.  God I miss watching that guy play even though he was a Devil for the majority of his career....

When football players start flopping around on the ground as if they were shot by a high-powered sniper rifle like soccer players do on a regular basis, that's when I sell the season tickets and call it quits.  Hopefully Goodell doesn't get it to that point.  I can't say that he isn't trying though.
