Dude - you didn't say it was also the Dr J room. Now it all makes sense. You gotta go with the Parquet (SP?). Put up a novelty hoop somewhere in the room and it is 137%

That's so Boston.
I have had people ask if I'm going to paint the old Spectrum center court logo on when I'm done. Don't think the Mrs. would be on board.

The Dr did plenty O damage on the Parquet, and it just screams old school. Ok, Boston/Philly, it's really all the same innut? I suppose not. That is being very unkind to Philly!!!!!

Now I'm leaning toward true hardwood, rather than the laminate. Found out my next door neighbor just did his MB this weekend. He's offered to lend a hand and has all the tools. A little more thinking involved...and a little more coin.
Maybe just paint the plywood.

Dude, totally keep me in the loop with your flooring skills.
I'm in the process of buying a house, and am already seeing replacing the carpet with hardwood in the near future.
I may need a hand, or at least some advice.

Hardwood it is. Picked up 10 boxes last night at Lowe's. Had to work my way thru 3 employees to finally chat with the manager. Convinced him give me the 10% discount if I applied for the Lowe's CC. Hey, it was $84 off!
Tomorrow we sail for Britain!

I is disapppointed. Only 111 images in your photobucket album? I expected a compendium.
That's prefinished hardwood, right? The only thing I'll caution you about (sorry for not remembering to mention this
before
you bought...) is do NOT buy planks that have V grooves. What I mean by that is when you put two pieces together, you don't want to have pieces that have a cross-section that looks something like this:
--v--
That's a bad picture and I hope you get the idea. When we bought ours, we made that mistake. What ends up happening is the V grooves between the planks end up being shit collectors. Once they get dirty, they're pretty hard to get totally clean. When we had the floors redone recently, I had them sand the shit out of the floor to basically eliminate the grooves. There are still some, but they're nowhere near as bad.
Can't tell from the pics if you went with those or not. Guess it's kind moot at this point anyway. Nice job and a quick turnaround time. You'd be a shitty contractor.

Glen Quagmire: WHOA! Transvestite! Back off! Wait a sec, pre-op or post-op?
Transvetite: Pre-op.
