This is not all what I expected from otis' hardwood photo collection.

Yeah, that's pre-finished. Not sure if they have the same V-groove you're referring to. We have the same stuff downstairs and it still looks fine after about a decade. I just wanted to match it up.

Now the Mrs. wants me to do the loft and dining room. Not anytime soon.

What a fucking job. But...an installer quoted my neighbor about $700 to do his MB.

If it meant the Steelers would pound a hated rival on Sunday, I'd do a 12 hour install every Friday.

I got a loft and great room/hall combo ready whenever you are.   Wink

What did that set you back, if you don't mind me asking?

Whether you do it yourself or get me to do it for you, the price you'll pay is being bent over and sore for the better part of a day.  Grin

The hardwood was $80/box - covers 20 sq. ft. I bought 10 boxes.
Spent about $35 for nails.
Pretty much borrowed all the tools.

Lowe's also had engineered hardwood, that was about $30/box - covers 15 sq. ft. The only actual hardwood is just the thin layer at the top. Looks good though and can be refinished.
