For a team who put away both the Anaheim Ducks and San Jose Sharks in six games last season, they are looking like hell this season.  Case in point...

29th place in NHL standings (15 points)

29th place in points percentage (41.7%)
30th place in overall record (6-9-3)
30th place in home record (2-3-2)
22nd place in road record (4-6-1)
30th place in record against own conference teams (4-7-2)
 30th place in overtime/shootout record (0-3)
30th place in pairs of back-to-back wins (0)
30th place in winning percentage (33%)
29th place in winning percentage when trailing after 1st period (10%)
30th place in winning percentage when trailing after 2nd period (0%)
30th place in winning percentage when reaching overtime/shootout (0%)
27th place in winning percentage when outshooting opponent (33%)
20th place in winning percentage when outshot by opponent (33%)
27th place in shots for (491)
28th place in shots for per game (27.3)
30th place in goals allowed (68)
30th place in goals allowed when 5-on-5 (43)
29th place in goals allowed in 1st period (23)
23rd place in goals allowed in 2nd period (22)
27th place in goals allowed in 3rd period (23)
29th place in goals allowed in overtime (2)
7th place in goals for in 1st period (20)
8th place in goals for in 2nd period (20)
29th place in goals for in 3rd period (11)
30th place in goals for in overtime (0)
26th place in penalty kill percentage (76.2%)
27th place in home penalty kill percentage (73.0%)
30th place in shorthanded goals (0)
17th place in powerplay percentage (17.5%)
27th place in road powerplay percentage (12.5%)
14th place in powerplay goals (14)
28th place in penalty minutes per game (19.2)
25th place in game misconducts (3)
30th place in goalie save percentage (0.865)
30th place in goalie goals against average (3.72)
 7th place in hits (432)
20th place in blocked shots (233)
19th place in missed shots (203)
 18th place in giveaways (167)
 11th place in takeaways (138)
26th place in faceoff wins (494)
25th place in faceoff losses (506)
20th place in faceoff percentage (49.4%)
 28th place in team +/- rating (-10)
30th place in number of players with positive +/- ratings (6 of 24)

Not good for the Stars.  Particulary after losing a team captain and playing in a division with Anaheim and San Jose.
