For a team currently sitting in last place in the division and minus DiPietro, the Islanders have been looking pretty damn good over the last six games, winning five out of six and beating the Senators twice, Canucks, Sabres and the Canadiens.

It's looking like the older vets are the one's getting it done on offense. While Weight only has four goals, he has 17 assists. Hunter and Guerin each have 8 goals and 7 assists. Not bad considering both Guerin and Weight are over the age of 36. Weight is currently riding a six game point streak and Guerin has five points in the last six games. MacDonald is also starting to step up his game in the absence of DiPietro, sporting a 9-7 record, 2.17 GAA and a .912 SV%. He's 7-3-1 in the month of November, the most wins this month by a NHL goaltender.

As for injuries. Fleury is out and it doesn't appear that he will be back soon judging that he can't even get through a full skate workout. This injury could be a little more serious than the Penguins are leading on. For what it's worth, I heard Madden state that it could be 3-6 weeks. For the Islanders, DiPietro, Okposo, Nielson. Sillinger, Thompson and Meyer are all out and Comrie is TBD.
