This is not all what I expected from otis' hardwood photo collection.

Yeah, that's pre-finished. Not sure if they have the same V-groove you're referring to. We have the same stuff downstairs and it still looks fine after about a decade. I just wanted to match it up.

Now the Mrs. wants me to do the loft and dining room. Not anytime soon.

What a fucking job. But...an installer quoted my neighbor about $700 to do his MB.

If it meant the Steelers would pound a hated rival on Sunday, I'd do a 12 hour install every Friday.

The hardwood was $80/box - covers 20 sq. ft. I bought 10 boxes.
Spent about $35 for nails.
Pretty much borrowed all the tools.

Lowe's also had engineered hardwood, that was about $30/box - covers 15 sq. ft. The only actual hardwood is just the thin layer at the top. Looks good though and can be refinished.
