surprised leftwich isn't going there from all the non-steeler fan friend dialogue. it's like he's the second coming to everyone but us. that being, people that actually watch the games...
Blah, blah, blah. He had a great half of football against the Washington Redskins and the Cleveland Browns. Put him in the HOF!
The fact that Harrison and TP were not unanimous choices is absurd.
I actually have a theory about Ed Reed and TP. I think Ed would not thrive in our defense, and Troy would not thrive in theirs. Reed is allowed to sit back in coverage and play center field a lot of the time. He's decent against the run, but not nearly as effective as Troy. Troy, on the other hand, does play back at times, but is much more effective moving all over the place, playing the run, hiding, blitzing, etc. Reed is a FS, Troy is a SS, even though they tend to play all over the field. But those descriptions match their respective styles, and comparing them is kind of apples and oranges.
Looking over the All-Pro list, I did notice their names together and thought, "Now that is a scary defensive backfield."
