To the far-reaching Steeler Nation it probably came as no surprise that the Black and Gold was ranked No.1 out of all 122 major sports franchises in the inaugural Turnkey Team Brand Index survey in 2007. [/b]

It truly is amazing that any team's fans could rank below the hometown Jaguars here...

True story:

Wife and I moved to Jacksonville in '99, just before the start of the football season.  One day while she was at work, the water-cooler talk surrounded the first home game being blacked out due to not enough ticket sales.  Now my shrewd wife, who is almost as football savvy as the rest of us MGS'ers, decided to play it dumb:

"What's a blackout?"
<explanation>
"You mean they really do that?"

"Wow, I've never heard of that before."

"Steelers sell out all of their games."
