Figured it was 'bout time someone got this thread started.
So, what the catch phrase?
"One hand's done. Let's get #6 for the other one?"
That's all I've got ATM.

Transvetite: Pre-op.

Good question. One for the other thumb is passe and really, do you start with the thumb? It was the last digit to receive a ring on the first hand.
"I want a ring for this finger."
"Yeah, heh heh, you heard me, heh heh, this finger."

One hand's done.
I think that was already used by Bob Dole.

Isn't that
former
president Bush? (Sorry, just like the sound of that.)
We won the last one for Bettis. Ben played his fucking ass off because he loved that guy.
The team has a "been there, done that" kinda cool. Tomlin has a ring (TB), and plenty of time to get one or more here. You don't really sense that any of the other vets are in a Bettis-like state: can't see "win this for Hines" or something, when he could realistically play another 4 years.
Winning one for a digit on the other hand seems, I dunno, a bit meaningless.
So here's what I say.
We win one for LeBeau.
The guy should be in the HOF based on his play as a corner alone. He's taken this team to two Super Bowls and won one, and consistently fielded one of the best defenses over the past decade plus as a DC. He's the oldest coach in the league, though he looks like he could probably suit up and play a few downs. I doubt he retires any time soon, but you just never know. You just never know.
This defense loves the guy. You read about Aaron Smith and Brett Keisel and Peazy when he was here and on down the line... All those guys get choked up and serious. This dude talks the talk and walks the walk. He doesn't need to employ bullshit like getting all lathered up and reaming a guy out. He's a professional. He treats his men like professionals. They run a complicated scheme, and he expects them to stick to their assignments, not hot dog, and to make plays happen. They've carried this team all year, with an offense that has clearly not been able to overcome its coordinator's shortcomings and the failings of its line.
This Super Bowl will be won or lost by that heart and soul of this team, the defense. And the heart and soul of the defense isn't Potsie Farrior, the quiet vet, or Larry Foote, who likes to yap. It isn't Snacks or Shea or even the great Aaron Smith, who is playing through hard personal times. It's Dick LeBeau.
In Detroit, for XL, the guys honored him by wearing the Lions throwbacks. That was heartfelt and it showed a team that appreciated its leader.
Well now it's time to win one for LeBeau.
WIN ONE FOR LEBEAU.
WIN ONE FOR LEBEAU.
WIN ONE FOR LEBEAU

Not that I have a problem with rallying around LeBeau, but how about getting one for Aaron Smith? Guy has demonstrated great courage, dignity, and professionalism this season through all of this.
