Getting Fisher, Belichick, and Whiz out of office will be tough.
Agreed. Those will last the longest IMO. Reid and Coughlin are up there too, but Reid never gets totally comfortable, and Coughlin grates on people too much to be anywhere for too long.
Don't think Tomlin will quite make top 5 in 2 years, but he could be in the 7-8 range. Top 10 next season is a possibility.
Too bad Whiz didn't wait until he had actually lost out on the Steelers gig before signing with the Cards. Be nice to have him in the rear view mirror.

Updating preseason predictions, I don't think Tomlin makes top 10 this year. For example, looks like Marvin's pulled his ass out of the fire for now.
At the moment I see Fox, del Rio, and Lovie Smith as pink slip candidates.

Bump.
Jauron edited out.

Since the original thread got fragged somehow, I've redone it in a different way. I've listed the coaches from #1 on down to Tomlin. 3 reasons:
1. Tomlin's now in top half of list.
2. Don't really care who's behind him.
3. Won't have to keep updating this list when multifires occur.
So, here it is:
1. Jeff Fisher, Titans - hired 11/1994
2. Andy Reid, Eagles - 1/11/99
3. Bill Belichik, Pats - 2000
4. John Fox, Panthers - 2002
5. Marvin Lewis, Bengals - 1/2003
6. Jack Del Rio, Jags - 2003
7. Tom Coughlin, Giants - 1/6/04
8. Lovie Smith, Bears - 2004
9. Brad Childress, Vikes - 1/6/06
10. Mike McCarthy, Pack - 1/12/06
11. Sean Payton, Saints - 1/17/06
12. Gary Kubiak, Texans - 1/26/06
13. Ken Whisenhunt, Cards - 1/14/07
14. Mike Tomlin, Steelers - 1/22/07
I've heard rumblings about Fox, Del Rio, Lovie, and Kubiak, but none seem guaranteed.
Fire BA, hire Kubiak.

I'd guess Fox is gone. Del Rio stays if they grab a playoff spot, otherwise probably gone. Bad start+bad finish=out. Kubiak? maybe, but has Houston been in contention this late before? I think he sticks. Lovie may be a money issue.
I'm thinking Tomlin moves up two more.
Of the other 9, seven make the playoffs, Fisher had a great second half and has tons of credit, and Coughlin might make playoffs and if not still has Super Bowl chips. All safe.

Looks to be an amazingly light offseason. We really only going to have two coaches get the axe?
Well, Al may wake up sometime in July and realize he forgot to fire Cable, so it's not done yet.

Not that it affects the standings, but the Seaquackers fired Jim "I was a Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Baby" Mora after one year.
