He is on Mad Dog Radio (XM 144) talking shit. Saying the playoffs are great, but the best teams didn't make it to the Super Bowl. Singing the praises of Tennessee and the Gints. Tennessee was head and shoulders above the rest of the AFC ditto that in the NFC for the Gints. Tennessee would have been a nightmare matchup for the Steelers he said. Tennessee would run all over the Steelers, Steelers couldn't get a pass rush, Tennessee's front four would get pressure on Ben without blitzing. Good Grief! All that from a basically meaningless game in week 16. Fuck him.

It's so odd, because Simms seems such an astute and objective play-by-play guy.

And completely neutral as well.

Give the guy a break.  You'd be a little irrational if you found out your "son" really wanted to be a girl, too.

Surprised he didn't also say how much better the Ravens D was than the Steelers this year.

Using that logic, I can only assume that he also thinks that the best team didn't win it last year either when his Giants upset the New England Worldly Wonders.

He's right, and furthermore, the Giants should give the Bills the 1990 Lombardi because, let's face it, they were the better team that year.

He did say how the Steelers couldn't do ANYTHING against that Ravens D. World class douchery. Incidently, he also said that he would have had a great game against the Bills in 1990. They played the type of defense he would be able to easily pick apart. Though, in fairness, he did say Hoss did things against San Fran that he would not have been able to do.

I like watching America's Game (a box set of all the Super Bowl winners' stories). The '86 Giants one is funny. Parcells just rips Simms a new asshole with every other sentence. The only game he didn't skewer him in was the Super Bowl.

At least Phil Simms doesn't have another man's initials tattooed on his leg.

No, that would be his 130% son, Christine Simms.
