Good read, up until the end.
It is the greatest scam in history.
C'mon, everyone knows "god" is the greatest scam in history.
You got there before I could... Though I would have said religion.
As for the article, I'm not impressed. So his basis for global warming being a hoax is citing irrelevant statistics and presuming the researcher was in it for the funding? Statistics can be so miss leading. Yeah, CO2 is a relatively trace gas, but no one knows what amount of gas changes things. The term "global warming" is a misnomer, and that's why citing the last two years of colder winters as evidence for his case is purely laughable. Not every place will get warmer, as the result of global warming. Most of Europe will actually get colder as the Gulf Stream weakens. But, FWIW, it will be 65 degrees tomorrow at 9000 feet in the Rockies...in February. The millions of acres of bark beetle kill here, is a direct result of warming. A cold snap of 5 days is required to kill the beetles, and control the population, but that hasn't happened for several years now, and the beetles are unstoppable.
Its the warming at the poles that should concern people. The polar ice is melting. In the Artic, Antarctic, and Greenland. Glacier National Park, won't have any glacier's in 50 years. Either will the Alps. It's going to take Florida to be underwater for idiots like this to admit that the world's climate is changing. Now it remains unproven at this point, whether man is helping this along, but the link between CO2 % in the atmosphere, and mean temperature rise, is a cold, hard, proven fact. The ice core samples going back 300,000 years show it, let alone the soil samples. And to assume that 150 years of spewing man made pollutants into the sky, isn't affecting our environment, is just, well, ignorant. But as they say, ignorance is bliss.
There are just too many signs everywhere to dismiss global warming. We are getting the lowest air pressure's ever recorded inside storms. Coral, which can't survive even minor upticks in temp, is dying worldwide. Severe drought around the world. Ice melting at an astonishing rate. The Alaskan and Siberian tundra thawing out. I'm playing golf in Colorado in January, in my shorts. Put it all together people.
I won't even touch the subject of whether the original researcher was in it for the funding. Needless to say, that's just mindless speculation. Maybe that's just what the writer would have done.
