Caputi to be called up

I dunno. Love his potential but this move smells like desperation. Could really hurt the kid's development in the long run.

I was hoping they would call this kid up before Minard, Pissonen, Thomas, Bissonnette and every other scrub/overrated hype machine they called up this season.

First shift, first goal......while playing on the fourth line.  He doesn't shy away from the front of the net....unlike Staal and every other player on this roster.

Please, take Cooke or Dupuis off the first line and put this kid on the first line.  He actually works for the puck and doesn't shy away from contact unlike some other d-bags who are getting paid in the 3 million dollar range.  Why not get him accustomed with the first line for the rest of the season?  What are our other options?  A Dupuis who can't find the back of the net and serves the team better on a third or fourth line?  A Cooke who can follow Dupuis?  A Satan who shouldn't even be on this team in the first place?

Nevermind, Therrien played him tonight at the last second.  I guess since it was his 1000th game, they decided to let him play.  Eitherway, minus missing the net on a beautiful feed from Dupuis, he didn't do jack shit as always.

Great game though, very entertaining.

So far Caputi hasn't looked out of place with the big boys. I love the way he goes to the net. Jordan Staal should take notes.

That didn't last long.  Something in the works maybe?  The big rumor flying around yesterday in Pittsburgh is that the Penguins are currently in negotiations for Martin St. Louis, Whitney going the other way.

They're sending Caputi down to make room for the return of Gonchar and Fedatenko not as a precursor to any trades.
