I haven't laughed so hard in years. Got the tears running down my cheeks.
This is terrible! What do we do now? Who can we get that has such a deft touch at deception as....Oh, forget it, I can't keep a straight face. Where's the praying emoticon? Let's hope he's a hell of an interview.

Ya, a TREMENDOUS job this season... *eyeroll*.
This would be too good to be true. Just can't see Pioli(sp?) mucking up his first big decision like that though.

*stares at PC screen...blinking...*
Two things:
(1) How does that article not have any responses yet?
(2)
Arians is a second year offensive coordinator and has done a tremendous job with the Steelers this season.
Right on. Right fucking on. This guy knows his fucking shit, man. Arians is the diamond in the rough that KC needs to put them back on the map. Don't they need linemen too? They can only have Brucey if they take Starks and/or Smith as well.
J, any chance we can change firebrucearians.com to hirebrucearians.com?

Wow...
We talked about this on another thread. Me and a couple other guys concurred that it would be hilarious and amazing if we won the SB and all of a sudden BA came out looking like an offensive genius, and got hired to fill one of the many vacant spots.
I'm not going to hold my breath though, only the Oakland Raiders and Washington Redskins organizations could possibly be this stupid.
Come on Chiefs! SIING BWUSE AYWIANNSS!!!!1!!1!!!11

Yeah, I can't help but think that this is a ploy by Pioli to drive Haley's asking price down....a poorly thought out ploy. Hope it backfires.

I can't change the firebrucearians url but we could all hit that article with comments!
"Yeah, look at what Arians did w/ a game manager at QB, a gimpy WR, a WR with dropsy, one with a bong and a bunch of blocking TEs. He won the Super Bowl!"
"Just think what he could do with Gonzalez!"
"Wow, we're really gonna miss Arians. Should have seen this one coming. *sob*"

I knew Arians was a genius when the first play from scrimmage in XLIII was a run up the gut by Parker.

I wasn't convinced until the QB draw. It takes a beautiful mind to run a lumbering slow-ass white QB from the ten.

Arians is enough of a genius to run a lumbering slow-ass black QB from the ten, if that's who he's got under center. You can't stop Arians, you can only hope to slow him down...

When I saw the subject of this topic, if it was one of those teasers where it wasn't what I thought it was, I was ready to spend several years tracking down the O.P.
If BA was hired by anyone, it would make this SB run/win even more incredible than it was a few days ago.
That is unfuckingbelieveable

Not to be a buzzkill, but the steelers traditionally hire from within when it comes to their OC. The only logical guy to fill the "big" shoes of Bruce Arians currently in the steelers org. is Ken Anderson.
there are quite a few of us that believe that anyone other than Bruce would be a step up. But would Anderson be any better?

Don't rain on this potential parade with logic!!
Try this logic on for size..."hiring from within" would also include former Steelers coaches as well...add Gailey, Gilbride, and Mularkey to the list. Not commenting on the likelihood of getting any of those, but still.
Hell, maybe even Ron Erhardt would come out of retirement. The parade must go on!

You can scratch the name in sentence 1, entry 2. There is no way I'd want Gilbride back
Gailey? Would be willing to try that. Mularkey? No question. As critical as I'm sure we were, the guy is a pretty darn good coach. Let's just say that I'll take any former coach who was able to win with Kordell Stewart and/or Tommy Maddox.
Let me throw another one out there: Dan Reeves. Then we could set the record for oldest assistant coaches in NFL history.

Dan Reeves is Cowher, ultra conservative, and Arians calls WTF kind of plays, rolled into one.
Mularkey would be a ginormous upgrade. I see a little Dixonshizizzle with Mularkey. Having just won the SB and having Ben and supporting cast, including the best D inthe land, surely the o coordiator would draw some big names the Steelers would entertain.

Dont forget that, if Arians were to leave (a big if, IMO), Tomlin isn't Cowher. True, he did retain most of the coaches who didn't go to Zona, but he's had contact in Minnesota and Tampa Bay, as well as in the NCAA ranks. I don't necessarily buy into the notion that he'll be as steadfast in promoting from within.
I fucking hate Kevin Gilbride, just for the record. I wish Buddy Ryan would punch him again.
