but it just occurred to me how good of an idea it was to get Ben's contract sorted out before this season.  I don't know what the premium would have been on a two-time Super Bowl winning champ but I am glad that the Steelers don't need to find that out.  Anyone else think that we may look back and see Ben as underpaid (I can't believe I just suggested that but I am starting to be wooed to that side as of now.)

Don't think he's underpaid, he right up there with the top paid Qb's in the league. Now if he had signed a 6 year 60 mil contract, then I'd say he's underpaid.

Statistically, he probably looks overpaid to outsiders (well, before last Sunday anyway), but we all know where that 102 million goes. Guy earns his money converting 3rd downs, making plays, and winning rings.

So is this the rare case where the contract is actually current market value and both the front office and the player can live with it?
